A Kitchen appliance snob says ‘WOW’
By Twelv-12e
Kitchen furnishes are like an addiction to me. I spare no expense on only the best. Kitchenaid mixers, Le Creuset whatever, All Clad this and that. But one day I was short on cash and decisive I necessitated a feed processor. I saw this in a grocery store for, like, $20. I said, “Screw it, this will work until I may afford a $100 Cuisinart.” That was a year ago, and I have had no desire the replace this one yet. I grind nuts in it. I’ve made huge batches of pesto in it. Hell, I make pie crust in it on a REGULAR basis (Making pie crust in a feed processor, altho much requiring little effort then using a pastry blender by hand, is sheer HELL on a feed processor.) . This little bad boy takes the abuse and asks for more. If it blows up tomorrow, Ill have gotten my moneys worth, and even if I have the cash for a better name brand, I would in all likelihood just go out and buy another Hamilton Beach. I’m only giving it 5 stars because Amazon wont let me give it 10. Seriously, ‘Worth the Money’ is an understatement.

Great for the price
By Jennifer M. Corby
When faced with the option of spending $100 or $30 for a processor of this capacity, I figured I would be crazy not to at least try the $30 (I went to my local Target to refrain from the shipping fees). So far, I’m happy, but will likely upgrade in the next year or too. The aesthetic, low profile and weight are all excellent–no complaints.
I’ve employed the slicing disk to cut a potpourri of vegetables with no real complaints. It has handled everything with relative ease–some smash up on the sides, but a million times rapidly and without delay and more consistent than by hand.
I haven’t applied the grating disk, but I’m skeptical of this feature in general.
The motor is powerful and so far my only problem is learning how powerful it is. I in a positive manner liquified onions the original time I tried to dice them. The real key is very quick pulses, and very few of them.
My only real problem, and the reason I will probably upgrade, is that the blade sits comparatively high, so if you need to puree or even chop something that is less than a cup, it will likely all fall beneath the blade and you will have to chop it by hand. In somewhat larger batches, you might have to do a lot of opening and spatula-ing to make sure the more prominent chunks are on top so they may be cut finer. So this is not an idealisti machine for pesto or nut chopping (the former requires a puree, the latter is heavy and commonly done in little batches).
So if you dice/chop/slice a lot of vegetables, this is a outstanding low cost machine, notwithstanding it likely won’t fulfill all of your kitchen’s processor needs.

Excellent!
By Stargazer
I was looking for a good feed processor to make beer cheese for the winter. I use to just use an electric hand mixer before and realised I necessitated something to give it a much creamier texture.
After checking out a few differant brands and models, which I’m sure are very good too, I decisive on this Hamilton Beach 6 cup feed processor. Bring it looked well built, blades appeared good and strong, a good name brand and 6 cups being not to little so I may make up a huge batch of beer cheese, but not to little so it is not a burden to clean.
All I may say is I am exceedingly impressed with this thing.
Please mind, this is my basi feed processor, as I have lately been getting into cooking. But this is incrediblly powerful.
I actually like the simple features, on and pulse, which pulse instantaneously turns off when you let go. I found this to be outstanding when I’m adding touch ups to my beer cheese.
This product is very well built too. Its definatly not flimsy and something that may break effortlessly if you so much as look at it wrong, not saying to purposly drop it off a building though. But the bowl and base is very sturdy and strong, which shows a well design and good craftsmanship put into it is design and making.
The On/Off/Pulse switch is actually nice when your working with a project and need a neverending hands on, as it is nice and big, quick to use not similar to some of the ‘button’ kinds I have seen. Just rest your hand up on it and have at it.
It is so easy to clean it is not funny. Just a soak in hot water with alittle soap. The blades are nice and sharp, not the real thin gauge metal that may bend sideways like paper which I seen on a heap of of the for less ones.
A superb saftey feature where you have to lock the top lid over the bowl or it wont turn on. Happened to me and I thought it broke, being my primary processor, my fault on that and feel absurd because of it. But the shoot on the lid needs to be on the opposite side of the On/Off/Pulse switch, which is pretty neat, as you add feed or ingrediances and if any spill it won’t get on the power switch to get messy.
Basically all in all, this is a well built 6 cup, easy to store, easy to use, nice looking inexpensive feed processor that is just awsome.
As I said, I in the first place got this for making beer cheese which whips it up creamy perfectly, but I take pleasure in this so much I have been making sasa’s, other cheese spreads and even use the chopping blade that comes with it to make sliced potatos for home fries.
For the price, it can’t be beat. I never thought I would say this with regards to a feed processor, but I won’t share with my Hamilton Beach 6 cup’er.
Enjoy!
