4Not genuinely programmable, but better than intermediate quality.
By Midwest birdwatcher
This cooker has a digital timer that you may set to cook at your chosen setting (Simmer, Low, High) for any time up to 24 hours. At the end of the set cooking time, it mechanically switches to Warm, and then switches itself off after another eight hours. IMO, a genuinely “Programmable” cooker would modify heat settings for the duration of cooking, and perchance have a delayed begin function; this unit does neither.

5Great mixer with tons of features
By daisy
I have had this mixer for a while and I LOVE IT. I think I paid $24.99 Some things I in truth like: well, the price. You get so much stuff for the price, there is no other mixer that even compares. I love that it comes with dissimilar attachments: wire beaters, a whisk and drink mixer attachment. My old mixer had regular beaters, but I noticed that the wire beaters are better at mixing heavier mixes and they don’t have a center post, which makes it requiring little effort to clean (I miss sticking my tongue in to lick the cookie dough stuck there!!) It comes with a cord wrap so I may put my mixer away in my kitchen cabinet and the cord doesn’t dangle. You just wrap the cord at the back of the mixer, slide the cover back and you are done. Unlike retractable cords, this is better since in my experience, retractable cord mechanisms oftentimes break after a while and the cord only gets stored 1/2 way. Well, love also the case that snaps on the bottom of the mixer to keep all the affixations together. With my old mixer I had to spend 10 minutes looking in my cooking utensils drawer until I found my beaters, now, when I am ready to bake, everything is together. The mixer is just comfortable to hold. One of the things I like is that speed 1 is slower than my prior mixer. So when I have flour in my bowl, I don’t end up wearing it (and my counter tops stay clean). I would definitively commend this mixer to anybody looking for a outstanding mixer at a great price. Another reviewer commented on the vent, but I think it is genuinely better than other mixers that just have slots, you sure get stuff inside that way, but here, the way the air comes in is kind of hidden, so it is out of the way. And honestly, with the slow speed, not one thing goes flying or splattering. I have not found this a problem.

5Finally a mixer with a proper low setting.
By R. Jamison
Somewhere along the way makers of hand mixers begun an arms race of sorts. I suppose they got the idea in their heads that humans wanted high power mixers and thats true. You started seeing 100+watt models then 150 then 200 and now a good deal of models approach if not surpass 300watts. The only problem is. As Peter Parker’s uncle said “with outstanding power comes great responsibility”. And most of these high powered mixers pretty much deliver all of that power to the beaters on each setting, even low. Which makes them closely unusable. Any batter thinner than cookie dough and you have a Jackson Pollock painting on each surface in your kitchen. The reason I purchased this mixer was it is “special slow original speed” that was listed in the product description. As advertised it does actually have a slow 1st speed that makes it usable. And at 290 watts it has a great deal of power to spare if you need it.

4Good mixer for the money
By Richard D. Straughn
I purchased this to replace a much older Hamilton Beach which passed away after galore years of faithful service. I wasn’t sure in regards to the wisk beaters but am enjoyably amazed that they do a magnificent job. This mixer sets on the counter and in the bowl buch better than my old one which fell over all the time. I specially like the snap on container which holds all the beaters. I love the wind up cord on the back end. It takes up less space in my cabinet and is very compact. I wouln’t commend it for heavy responsibility mixing. I have a mercantile mixer for that.
