SAVE YOUR MONEY
By Wayne Meyers
This is the worst joke I have ever had inflicted upon me. We wanted a sturdy, lasting may opener that would last more than a year, and this appeared to be the solution. Backed by the Cuisinart brand I was comfident we would be in good shape. It wasn’t in stock for 3 or 4 months, but we waited in a patient manner convinced it was the answer to our prayers.
It lasted in regards to a month before it broke. It would not latch onto the cans any longer. It was heavy, solid, made by what I thought was a quality brand name, and it would not work. What a disappointment. But I was convinced Cuisinart would set things right, so I e-mailed them.
Wow, what an eye opener with regards to this company! I was told I had to MAIL this heavy object back to them ON MY DIME. Brand new, less than 2 months old, broken and not working, and I am supposed to lay out the heft shipping fee over and above the pricey price tag, which would only be worth the cash if the product in truth worked.
End of the story, we purchased another may opener and it is working fine so far. Eventually it will break as well, not one thing is made with any substance any more. We actually thought the Cuisinart would last, and if there were any difficulties at such an early stage they would ship out a replacement, brand new, and prepay the postage for the return like veritably reputable companies I have dealt with in the past.
This unit is defective, and their client service stinks. Save your money, it does not live up to the image, and if you buy it you will get stuck with the postage bill attempting to return it. We refused to throw good cash after bad, so we are eating the cost. But we now know better than to buy another Cuisinart product in our lifetimes, so that is worth something to us at least.

Change to one star!
By K. Cook
This is my edited last review of this may opener. I reviewed it earlier and brought up I would follow-up if necessary. I fear the product has a major problem. Again I employed it with regards to 4 times and it was merely outstanding. My wife employed this second one today and managed to break it again her basi try! The same plastic insert that busted before broke again. They evidently have a problem with this insert as I can not imagine it breaking the second time around. Granted, my wife may not have the skill level I have when using a may opener, however, I now have no choice but to give up this little venture and buy the “West Bend” may opener which has such outstanding reviews here on “Amazon.com”. The up-side is that I will save $25.

Stay Away from Cuisinart Can Openers
By B. Pate
Like the “Cuisinart SCO-60 Deluxe Stainless Steel Can Opener SCO-60″ also reviewed on this web site our Cuisinart “Deluxe” stainless steel may opener broke within a couple weeks of buying it. The device appears solid, but the actual blade attachment is connected to the rest of the body with a seemingly very fragile plastic piece that will shatter after little use.
