Perhaps you are thinking, “Do I genuinely need a feed processor?” The answer is, “Yes!”
Twenty years ago I purchased the same model as this one and it has seen every day use and is still running strong! I thought I wouldn’t genuinely use it that much, but once you commence using it you find that it makes feed preparation so much more quickly that soon you can’t do without it! Not only is it outstanding for slicing and chopping, but it is also great for preparing bread dough (no more hand kneading!), pureeing, and making peanut butter.
The only time I use a blender rather of the feed processor is when I’m pureeing a big amount of liquid (like a hot soup), because it will leak out of the feed processor.
Because of the feed processor, I find that I make a large total of recipes that I formerly wouldn’t have because they used to take too much time.
Caution: The blades are razor SHARP! The basi week I had my processor, I pulled bread dough off the blade without being very careful, and sliced off the top of my thumb! After 20 years, the blades are still very sharp. The work bowl is a bit scratched and dull, but after 20 years it’s a miracle that it’s still in one piece!
For my little family, the 7-cup capacity is just right. If I had a more prominent family, I might invest in one of the more prominent processors.

A great value!
By Michael T. Rognlien
I received this feed processor for Christmas, and was at firstborn disappointed that it was the “low-end” of the Cuisinart line, but after using it twice since, I am more than pleased with it is performance.
First of all, I was very pleased that it came not only with the “S” blade but two other grating/slicing blades, and a spatula. The older packages did not include these and required further and added purchases.
Second, when it comes to preparing things that need slicing and chopping, the Cuisinart does a great job. Having made an apple pie at thanksgiving by manually chopping apples, the Cuisinart makes other than as supposed or expected labor-intensive cooking MUCH easier.
For the price, this product is a great value and does 90% of the things most of us cooking at home need to do. Cuisinart has been around a long time, and a great deal of recipes in today’s cookbooks genuinely commend you have one in your kitchen, so this unit is a great value for the price and will make cooking posing no difficulty and more enjoyable.

Cuisinart disappointment
By K. Terry
I grew up in a Cuisinart kitchen – so when it was time to stock my own kitchen with necessary gimmicks – I knew Cuisinart was the way to go. Boy, did I make a fault on this one, I guess you get what you pay for.
While it does well slicing, using it to make sauces or doughs leaves a lot to be desired. There is utterly no seal amongst the bowl and the lid – if you put any liquid or flour in the bowl and turn it on, it comes flying out the sides and top. Not only does this make a mess, but it screws up the proportions in your recipes.
If you are going to invest in a feed processor, I would choose either the very well rated Kitchen Aid or one of the more pricey Cuisinarts (perhaps the classics or the power preps).
