Cuisinart Electric Knife

ReviewAll kitchen and sporting knives, whether professional quality or inexpensive, need a blade tune-up now and then. This electric sharpener gives rise to razor-sharp edges using the same quickly rotating Sapphirite grinding wheels used by professional shops. A two-stage system allows knives to be ground and sharpened on the Stage 1 half of the machine, and then honed on the Stage 2 half. Blade guides hold the knife at the idealisti sharpening angle for each side of the blade, as it is drawn tardily towards the user and held parallel to the countertop. The sharpener is suitable for knives made of alloy, carbon, or stainless steel; it is perfectly normal for sparks to fly when knives of high carbon steel come in contact with the Sapphirite wheels. Non-electric serrated knives that are only serrated on one side may also be sharpened with this machine. Three suction cups on the bottom hold the sharpener securely on a table or countertop, and two receptacles underneath catch metal filings for disposal. The sharpener measures 8-1/4 by 5-3/4 by 4 inches, and is covered by a two-year warranty versus defects. –Ann Bieri The easy, automatic way to sharpen kitchen and sporting knives to a razor sharp edge. Professional two-stage scheme precision grinds a perfective sharpening angle then fine hones and polishes the edge. Uses Sapphirite sharpening wheels, the same ultrahard material employed in professional sharpening shops. No-guess blade guides mechanically hold knife at the idealisti sharpening angle each time. 120 volts AC, 60 watts.

5This worked where all the other sharpeners failed
By Jeff B. Cox
My son gave me a high quality chef’s knife a year ago. I kept the knife sharp using a sharpening steel. I had never applied a high quality knife before and the divergence was remarkable. It was a real betterment over all the knives I had ever used. I in truth enjoyed using it.

5A fantasti product!
By Lee E.
One night my husband expended three hours sharpening our Chicago Cutlery set by hand and afterwards said he wanted to find an electric sharpner. We started pricing them, but from what we saw they ranged from $80-$135. I went online and found the EverSharp and after reading the reviews purchased it and set it isolated for XMas. I just have to say that it has lived up to expected values and then some. It’s amazing how quick and effecient this sharpner is! In less than five minutes my husband had our Cutlery knives sharpened even better than they were when we in the first place got them. He then sharpened his mother’s knives that have never had a good sharpening.
I knew I had purchased him a good product when after each sharpening he looked at the knife and whispered: “Oh my God!”
Great results at a great price!
