Cuisinart Food Chopper Review

A welcome addition to any busy kitchen, this easy-to-use 4-cup chopper/grinder works a lot like a regular feed processor, but without having to lug out the full-size machine. Its lasting 4-cup work bowl provides ample space for a lot of each day kitchen tasks such as grinding pine nuts for a batch of pesto, pureeing soup or baby food, or chopping onions and green peppers to throw onto a homemade pizza. The unit’s auto-reversing SmartPower blade comes with a sharp edge for chopping and pureeing soft foods, plus a blunt edge for grinding up nuts, spices, and other harder foods. Even more, it is BladeLock system keeps the blade securely in place for the duration of operation and when pouring. Other highlights include a simple touchpad control panel with “chop” and “grind” options, an easy-grip handle, and dishwasher-safe parts for quick cleanup. A spatula and recipe/instruction book come included. The chopper/grinder measures 5-4/5 by 6-1/2 by 9-1/5 inches and carries a fixed 18-month warranty.

5a review of the product itself
By paseo
I am a feed professional and have applied this some times since it is a perfective size (not too big or too small) for the little tasks that many times come up at home, and I don’t want to use my huge machine. It has done a terrific occupation on everything from bread crumbs to salsa, mayonnaise, grinding nuts, pureeing onions, etc. It is easy to control and not ‘over process’ whatsoever the occupation is since the blade comes to a finish stop immediately. The instruction book is Cuisinart’s general competent quality. I do highly commend it for a little size processor.

5does what it ought to do
By Vegas Slim
I am not a feed professional but I do cook a lot. This product fills the gap amongst a full-on feed processor and a little electric or hand chopper. I purchased the die-cast model and it feels solid. The controls are easy to use and everything is easy to clean. This processor is likewise not very deafening equated to ones I looked at in person at retailers. I have found myself using this “mini” more than my larger and more complex processor. In short, I commend the Cuisinart elite die cast chopper/grinder.

5Cutting Edge (Really)
By Holly
I’m one of those who agonizes over appliance purchases…I read epinions and Amazon reviews and any other specs and faqs I may find. This was not a major buy (in terms of outlay of money), but I wanted something a)easy to assemble, b)easy to use, c)that does what it is supposed to do, and d)that is easy to clean and put away. This little unit does all that. It is just right for little jobs, and cuts quickly. There is a little learning curve — for me, anyway — I’ve had to learn when to use “pulse” as opposed to a steady “chop” to prevent ingredients from being ground too small.

But overall, a outstanding little cook’s helper!
