  • Obviously the size is very important; you do not want to buy an costly appliance and end up with one too little or too big for your purposes.
  • What you actually want to use it for. It is not use buying an appliance that cannot do everything you want it to do. It is likewise no good buying one with way more gimmicks and stuff than you will ever use.

ReviewThe Mini-Mate makes quick work of little kitchen prep jobs that might other than as supposed or expected require difficult and messy chopping, grinding, and grating: nuts, nutmeg, and cinnamon sticks, peppercorns and seeds, garlic and anchovies, even chocolate and citrus peel. With a patented reversible blade for sharp or blunt processing, and two speeds of operation, it is well equipped to handle a assortment of jobs.

Though it has a high-speed motor and lasting stainless-steel motor shaft, keep in mind that the Mini-Mate is designed for little amounts of food: 2 tablespoons is the greatest or most complete or best possible commended for one batch, and feed pieces must be no larger than 1/2 inch. Purchase it to complement, not replace, a larger, full-function feed processor. An instruction book that comes with the processor details how to routine a great deal of mutual foods and troubleshoot troubles so you recognise how to best use and care for your Mini Mate.

Cleanup and completion of little jobs is quicker and more effective because of the little size, altho the galore parts of the Mini Mate require disassembly, careful cleaning, and reassembly, which does add to total cleaning time. If you don’t have the time or the goodnatured tolerance for littler detail-oriented prep jobs, Mini Mate is a great kitchen aid. –Emily Wolf

4Makes purees very well, but hard to clean
By Don Anderson
I tried two other little feed processors, the KitchenAid Chef’s Chopper and the Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus for making two to four servings of pesto, cilantro sauce etc, but pureeing these little amounts of ingredients in the approximately 3 cup work bowls was difficult because the blade throws the ingredients on the sides. Scraping the ingredients down assorted times helps but the finished product was still not smooth enough.

The MM-2M works much better for making these little amounts of sauces. You still have to scrape the ingredients down once or twice but the puree is much smoother. The blades turn much rapidly and without delay than the other two processors and there are likewise two speeds. You may reverse the blade holder to choose a blunt or sharp leading edge. The blunt edge works well for pureeing.

The unfortunate drawback to this processor is that the motor housing forms the top of the work bowl. As a result, rather a bit of the finished product ends up coating the end of the motor housing. If you are not exceedingly careful when cleaning the motor housing you will get water and perhaps feed into it. If you’re just chopping comparatively arid ingredients like coffee or arid spices, this would not be so much of a problem.

5Perfect for little spice/herb grinder/mincer
By Brian Massey
Cooking Thai, Viet, Chinese, Indian dishes requires quick chopping/mincing/grinding/puree of *multiple* spices. I searched all over for something of little size for per-meal quantities. This is it! Just a few pulses, and you have minced garlic, galanga, lemongrass, coriander, ginger, chili peppers, whatever. Works good too on little quantities of nuts, and even coffee beans, in a pinch. Another review says assorted pieces to wash; I don’t get that, you just have the included bowl and blade thingee to rinse. The motor top doesn’t get messy because it’s on top; you just sponge it off when done. Love mine; inexpensive and to purpose. Perfect for that mini-spice/herb/food-processor you’ve been looking for. Enjoy!
