2Impossible to clean!
By dave
This thing slices well, then comes the impractical task of attempting to clean it. The tray does not detatch from the base, which cannot be put in water because it containes the motor. Pieces of feed work their way into the motor area. After removing the blade (using tools) you must remove a plastic cover with 3 screws and dig out the pieces of food. I could not believe how bad a design it was from a cleaning standpoint. The tray that slides back and forth with the feed has a stainless top that is in a literal sense two-faced taped onto the plastic base. This was very poor from a quality standpoint, and came off in my hand the primary and only time used. The plastic base for this tray has with regards to fifty little half inch square honey-comb sort of areas that grease from meat or juices from feed WILL get down into. This thing is a nightmare to adequately clean and not worth the trouble. It went back to the store immediately, and it was not all the way clean because after when it comes to thirty minutes I gave up. I’m looking for another brand now.

1Waring FS150 poorly designed
By Pieter
Bought this last week; returned it today. Took blade off after using it once to clean it, per the instructions (use quarter on slot) and follow markings on the unit itself (open with arrow and close in opposing direction). When I put the blade back on, it failed to align in the right manner and provided an uneven cut (and smelled too strong of burn in also). Called Waring client service, and they conveyed that instruction manual was wrong, and that new instructions weren’t always out there yet. Should have got rid of three Phillip screws to remove blade! Don’t use slot. Waring expects home users to remove three screws each time to clean it! And says put nothing, not even the blade, in the dishwasher. How are you supposed to clean it thoroughly? By hand? Waring needs a new design team. This is amidst the most poorly thought by way of in a long time.

2sliced well, totally unlikely to genuinely clean
By Michele
The machine sliced a roast beef pretty well. However, clean-up was impossible. There was no way to remove the meat & juices that fell inside the machine.
