Cuisinart Grill And Griddle

My experience with the model GR-4 Cuisinart panini grill is almost two years now and I’ve applied it for making all types of feed including stakes, bacon, burgers and numerous more. But my favored is of course paninis!

He way Cuisinart product grills panini is totally unique: it does it much quicker than other presses. Just a few minutes the device to heat up and a couple more for panini to be ready. If you’d ask me regarding other good sides of the Cuisinart panini grill I would pick the following:

  • It grills with the same quality as it is challengers does (George Foreman merchandise for example). I’ve cited that panini sandwiches made with GR-4 are just terrific, but having the device with 4-in-1 features gives you even more benefits.
  • The body of Cuisinart panini grill is made of stainless steel that makes you think of the item as of a well-made and quality product. There are sophisticated temperature knobs on the body, but I was lucky to set up a perfective heat for my needs and I do use them seldom.
  • The cooking plates are of dissimilar size and I think this is good. The introductory is made for regular cooking while the other is designed to be used exceptionally for panini sandwiches grilling. These are removable and safe to be washed in the machine. Drip cups are also clever bits of engineering and works efficaciously gathering the exuberant oil and grease.

A few downsides were ran into as I am spending a lot of time with my GR-4 Cuisinart panini grill.

Maybe it is in regards to my peculiar item, but after using Panini grill for just a couple of weeks I’ve found that back side of the device get started loosing little pieces. It might seem like a minor problem, but I want product I am paying cash for to last as long as possible. A year later my Cuisinart panini grill has it is hinges broke one after another. I think of a weak metal as of a cause of the failure.

I wish Cuisinart will do something with regards to the poor quality of the hinges and reinforce them. I haven’t had a chance to put my hands over the bettered model GR-4N, but I hope it’s better in that area.

5Cuisinart upgraded the Griddler, and it’s better than ever
By S. Harrison
I purchased a G4 Griddler from Amazon in 2005, and employed it a couple of times a week (at least) until it had to be put out to pasture in 2010 due to failure of the non-stick coating on the plates. (The coating started to bubble and peel, and no one wants that in their food…) I loved it. (See my review of the Cuisinart GR-4 Griddler Stainless-Steel 4-in-1 Grill/Griddle and Panini Press) It was still working great, but substitute plates were not available.

5Great Griddle
By Byron Butters
Improvements over former model are the reversable grill plates that snap in and out very without apparent effort and now you do not have 2 extra plates to store somewhere. The grease catch pan is integrated into the bottom and removes very effortlessly for cleaning. Cleanup is a snap: take off the 2 grill plates and they wash and cleanup so easy I don’t bother putting them in the dishwasher. Clean the drip tray and you are done. Fast & easy.
I disagree with those that say it is great for cooking little meals or for a little family. It cooks the meat so fast, you better not walk away. First thing I cooked were good sized hamburgers & they were at 180° in 5 minutes. The next 4 were perfectly cooked at 4 minutes. Used the Sear setting per the instruction book with the grill preheated. New York Strip sirloins were done in 3 1/2 to 4 minutes on the Sear setting. Fast cooking & the meat is eye likeable with the grill marks on both sides. Batch number 3 will be pork chops tonight.
Granted, it doesn’t rather do the occupation my Weber grill does outside, but when it is 15 under zero, the Griddler is very nice to have for indoor winter usage.

Great indoor grill, cooks fast, easy cleanup… I highly commend it.

-grilling inside when the weather outside is bad is a big plus.
-can grill open or closed depending on how much I need to make and the type of food.
-the lid conforms to the thickness of the food.
-easy to clean.
-drip tray catches each bit of grease.
-because of the multiple choices it replaces various older and bulkier appliance I had.

Cons:
-can’t think of any.
