Cuisinart Powerprep Plus

ReviewCuisinart’s PowerPrep Plus gives new meaning to the term “cutting edge.” This premier kitchen workhorse is streamlined, so the base looks less boxy and the processor more sleek and unobtrusive than ever on the counter. In addition, the rounded shape makes cleaning easier–no more sticky crevices and corners. But it’s more than just looks that put the PowerPrep Plus in a league of it is own. The 14-cup work bowl has a huge capacity, keeping up to 3 pounds of bread or cookie dough or more than 2 pounds of meat, which means less parsing out of batches and more consistent mixing overall.

Also, the wide-mouth feed tube gobbles up whole fruits and vegetables, which means less prep work. The powerful direct-drive induction motor base has touchpad controls with indicator lights and a particular alternate speed for bread kneading. This model comes with all the basic accessories, including slicing and shredding discs, a chopping/mixing S-shaped blade, and the extremely pleasing PowerPrep metal dough blade (all are stainless steel), plus a plastic spatula, recipe and instruction books, and a 45-minute how-to video–complete with pizza dough mysteries from the Culinary Institute’s chef-instructor Bill Briwa. The 2-1/2-foot cord may be wrapped underneath, and all detachable elements are dishwasher-safe. The feed processor measures 8 by 11 by 15-1/2 inches and carries a full 10-year motor warranty with a fixed three-year warranty on the entire unit. –Erin Brown

3The feed processor SHOW DOWN: A comparison of 14 cup stainless Cuisinart feed processors
By Chandler
When I buy a new kitchen or household item with a large total of challengers I do loads of comparison/contrasting and exploration original if it’s over a hundred bucks…Knowing it was time for a new feed processor, I started out comparing models. However, I found it a tad difficult to do with all the dissimilar blades, codes, etc.

5Powerful
By BrendaA.
I purchased the Cuisinart DLC-2024CHB/14 cup processor. Love it. The power is impressive and the keeping tank is big enough. I may soups, etc. and this makes it very nice to be competent to chop all the vegetables in the same bowl. I alter the blade for shredding or more prominent slicing and don’t have to empty the bowl as the bowl size is great.

I made a bunch of marinara sauce and ground the fennel seeds in it; however, that discolored the plastic keeping bowl—haven’t tried other ways to clean it yet–just hand washing.

I use it sufficient to leave it out on the counter–it is a little heavy.

5Cuisinart still the best
By S. Williams
When my 30-year-old Cuisinart DLC at last passed from physical life I wanted to find a authenti replacement. At primary I was intrigued by the KitchenAid KFP750, but too a good deal of client reviews complained that the bowl didn’t have sufficient capacity for liquids. Since I oftentimes use my feed processor to make soup, this was a huge negative. I purchased the Cuisinart DLC-2014 PowerPrep and have been exceedingly happy with it. No liquid overflow, and the same high-quality slicing, chopping etc that I have come to suppose from Cuisinart. Besides, the streamlined design looks great!
