So galore more uses!
By Rebecca Johnson
While I do have the ice cream maker, I ordered an further and added freezer bowl to have on hand. It is helpful if you want to make two flavors of ice cream, or if you want to cool the warm custard for vanilla ice cream before you freeze it.
I have likewise used this container to speedily cool items (like Jello which will have to be cooled for a mousse, raspberry mousse comes to mind
in a metal bowl. Place any metal bowl on the top of this container. It will be stable and the bowl will get ice cold. The contents will then cool very quickly.
Try this bowl to cool down custard when you are filling pastries. Just pour in the custard and stir with a spatula for a few minutes. Soon, you have creamy, cold custard to fill those pastries.
I commend keeping one of these in the freezer at all times. There are just so some more uses! Use it everytime you need to cool a liquid quickly. You will love the results.

Great buy if you are going to make a lot of ice cream!

Cuisinart makes it easy for ice cream lovers by merchandising extra freezer bowls! Having an extra freezer bowl is exceedingly utile if you are making huge quantities of ice cream or you plan on making dissimilar varieties. According to the instruction booklet it may take amid six to twenty-two hours to freeze the bowl. We commonly keep one bowl in the freezer all the time, then when making a batch of ice cream we replace it with the extra bowl. The freezer bowl doesn’t take up much space and it’s easy to clean! Fantastic Buy!

Let me explain…
By E. B. Shaffer
I have had this ice cream maker for over a year. I LOVE IT. I have likewise had to replace the freezer bowl twice and the latest bowl (#3) is now unusable. In theory, the extra bowl is a terrifi idea. I give it 5 stars. In reality, when plastic is cold it is FRAGILE. The plastic that is the outer cover of this bowl is so fragile it will crack if you LOOK at it sideways. All three bowls have cracked. (My machine came with a cracked bowl which was substituted by the merchant.) They were not cracked by extra-ordinary measures. One slid out of the freezer when the door was opened (it dropped with regards to a foot), one bumped the side of the stainless steel sink when I was rinsing the outside off under the faucet and one slipped from my hand and dropped a couple of inches to the table top. When they are cracked, the liquid that amongst the layers runs out and turns into a crystalized mess. For what it has cost in bowls … and the primary machine, I could have THREE of the finish ice cream freezers. All the other reviews were right on, the machine is so much requiring little effort than the old ice and rock-salt machines BUT the construction material of THIS BOWL needs to be changed. Instead of plastic it ought to be metal (it looks like aluminum on the inside) inside and out… and paint, enamel or, better yet, plasti-coat the outside. For right now, my ice cream comes out of a box or from the ice cream store or dairy store. Sadly.
