4K4SSWH Owners beware
By Pete
This item works fine, good quality, etc. HOWEVER, if you are an proprietor of the K4SSWH 4.5 qt bowl lift model purchased at Wal-Mart’s Black Friday sales, this WILL NOT WORK with your mixer! The model number of the mixer at Wal Mart is contrived, that model is in truth a rebadged discontinued K5 Classic according to KitchenAid. You will need to buy accessaries intended for a K5, NOT a K45 (as one would assume). Hope this helps someone.

4Seems a bit flimsier than important whip
By RisCracker
We just purchased this as a substitute for one that came with the mixer almost 7 years ago. This is the right size for my model. I’m sure it will work fine (I only tried it in a arid bowl), but I’m having trouble with the seemingly lesser quality of this substitute whip. My original whip was 100% stainless steel and weighs 4.5oz. This new version has a connector socket that feels hollow, perhaps? It weighs only 3.3oz.

So if you are purchasing a substitute for an older whip, don’t suppose an precise replica (like I did). I’m trusting that this will work as well as my older one.

2aluminum gets pocked
By B. J. Caldon
This wire whip is a disappointment because it’s not made out of stainless steel, as was the original. It’s a lot of form of aluminum which gets pocked when it soaks in dishwater. This happened the original time I handwashed it! Don’t dare put it in the dishwasher.
